ULTRA RARE SMALLEST SIZED REICHSDIENST FLAG WITH MARINE MARKING.

Yes, this is one of the smallest Third Reich flags made that were actually flown. Measuring only 50cm x 85cm, it would have been used to fly on a small inshore boat or little Kriegsmarine craft. People always say these are 'U-boat-flags' and they could have been flown on them, but also on many other less famous craft! Made in the usual touch cotton sack cloth material, it has unfortunately suffered quite significantly from moth/grubs damage. Obviously kept in a loft or attic and forgotten about!! In mint condition these flags fetch upwards of £600, this is priced accordingly. The flying hoist pocket has the original rope lanyard present. It is stamped in black ink with the size, description and a little eagle and swastika with the 'M' underneath. An ideal size to fit in a display cabinet or similar.
