English Compass and Magnifying Glass/Loop Fob Charm c1930

Sold
£25.00

Description

Here on offer is a charming English compass and magnifying glass/loop, fob charm.I have seen these before in poor condition with the plating worn off and advertised as 'antique'. However personally I would date this to early 20th century, circa 1930, albeit it might be earlier? The main body is made from nickel or chrome plated brass that is in excellent, near mint condition retaining all of its original plating. On the back is stamped with the words:MADE IN ENGLANDThe glass loop swivels out from the main body and provides excellent crisp and clear magnification and a tiny compass is fitted into the top.The compass works perfectly on a flat surface and there are no chips or cracks to the glass. It still retains its original ring for attaching it to a watch chain. It case measures 2' (5cm) long including the ring and it weighs 14.5gPlease see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description. Please see my TERMS OF BUSINESS regarding Deliver Charges and Insurance regarding additional insurance cover, should you require it, BEFORE the item is dispatched. The responsibility lies with the customer to check with your Customs restrictions that this item can be imported into your country.
