US Indian War Era, M1872 Massachusetts Field Grade Medical Department Officers Dress Coat & Paddles**ON HOLD

Original period manufacture. Fine quality dark blue wool frock coat, double button front, with three, flat gold brocade vertical stripes on each cuff which indicate a field grade officer, Major to Colonel rank. Officer quality Massachusetts state seal buttons throughout. Black polished cotton lining with a single interior pocket, no tailor label or owners name. On the shoulders are a set of dress 1872 pattern officer knots, displaying the gold oakleaves for a Major, and the letters M.D., Medical Department. No moth issues or staining, really fine condition for a Custer era coat. Size about a 38 regular.
