Original Vintage Dark Oak British Police Truncheon with Leather Strap c1960

Here on offer is a fine example of an original vintage wooden British Police truncheon with leather strap, circa 1960.This fine truncheon has the usual turned grip and long lower shaped section, without any markings or maker's details. It is made from a very dense dark oak wood or possibly lignum vita?It appears to be the style used from the late 1950's or early 1960's.At the top of the grip, has a long brown leather strap, that is stitched in place.
