German Imperial Prussian Army EM Buckle-This is the 1847 model, which a separate silver rondel on brass. In this model, the rondel is a bit bigger, it measures 45mm in diameter. It is 5mm larger in diameter than the WW1 model you are used to seeing. This buckle has a nice bold look to it. The rondel is held tightly in place with 4 prongs you can see from the reverse. The heavy brass has a great tone to it. Overall, this is excellent condition, especially considering its age.
