Original era manufacture. A rare pattern bayonet made from M1873-1872 socket bayonets, blue finish with a matching finish crossguard and pommel with lock button. This example includes a matching finish tubular steel scabbard similar to the M1886 French Lebel, but with an additional pivoting loop attached to the scabbard loop. Scarce pattern bayonet.
