Womens Land Army WLA hat & uniform badge by Marples & Beasley

A fine quality scarce original Second World War period 'Womens Land Army pin badge', gilt brass example inlaid with green enamel to central wheatsheaf and red enamel to the Crown, the reverse impressed with scarce maker's details 'Marples & Beasley Birmingham'. Very good used condition, complete wth original pin fittings, no defects to the enamel.Height approx 35mm.Worn on the felt hat and also on the uniform green jumper, discontinued after 1942 due to the metal shortage.
