Description
This helmet features The ET68 Marking on the side, with lot number in the rear (illegible), complete with excellent condition original straps and fine liner. The outside features minty schiefergrau finish, with what appears to be two LW adler decals on the left (factory applied?), and then a GI added Heer adler to the front. (The other LW M40 helmet in today's listings bears two GI added Heer adlers–obviously a grouping of items sent home by one individual as souvenirs). This FJ is an extremely nice example, with untouched late slotted hardware, indicating possible refurb at some stage (hence the two LW adlers, which show age crazing under magnification as if possibly original – issue applied). Overall a great helmet with lots of historic appeal. COA accompanies.
