The Beaver Club London 1940 Canadian Soldiers Hostel Badge

A scarce original Second World War period period 'The Beaver Club London'; large silver plated circular title surround, the red enamel centre mounted with a gilt Maple leaf bearing brown enamel beaver with 1940 below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R. GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch, no damage to the enamel.Diameter approx 32mm.'The Beaver Club' was situated in the heart of London in Spring Gardens, S.W.1. crossing The Mall between Admiralty Arch and Trafalgar Square. It was a rest centre for Canadian Soldiers.
