This is an German Wehrmacht Breithaupt Kassel compass from World War II, complete with its original black leather case.The compass was manufactured by Breithaupt & Sohn in Kassel and is marked D.R.G.M. (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster), indicating a registered industrial design.It is made of sturdy metal and features a clear dial with degree markings. On the side, there is a mirror sighting device for precise navigation.The housing still bears a (partially legible) manufacturer's label from Schneider & Strohlen, Frankfurt, suggesting distribution or additional production involvement. The compass is fitted with a ring for easy attachment or carrying.The original leather case is complete, with a belt loop on the reverse side for attachment to field equipment.Article number: 16491
