Original German WWII Single Sided Supply Sack Marked H.Verpfl. & Dated 1942-This is an authenticGerman Army supply sack(Heeres-Verpflegung, or Army Supply Service), clearly marked on one side with'H.Vpfl. 1942'. The reverse displays the largeArmy National Eagle clutching a swastika within a wreath, applied in black ink.The sack is constructed of sturdy wartime burlap and measures approximately48 inches (122 cm) long x 28.5 inches (72 cm) wide. It remains in very good condition for its age, showing light staining and handling wear consistent with storage. There is a small tear of about2 inches at the bottom.These supply sacks were used extensively by the Wehrmacht for the transport and storage of rations, grain, and other provisions. The dated and clearly marked examples are increasingly difficult to find today, making this a desirable and well-preserved piece of WWII Army supply equipment.
