Original German WWII Wehrmacht Issue Late-War Gray Wool Sweater Size 1-This is a superb example of a late-war standard issue German wool sweater, a scarcer period-manufactured piece issued to Wehrmacht and Waffen SS soldiers. Constructed from mixed light-to-dark gray wool, the sweater retains excellent condition with no repairs, stains, or tears, but a few very small moth holes are present.The size label is intact along the back of the neck, faintly marked '1', while the maker's label remains sewn to the lower waist area. Though the bottom tag is now faint and the RB-number is no longer legible, it would have originally carried the Reichsbetriebsnummer designation.Scarce and desirable, this piece would display beautifully under a tunic, greatcoat, or winter parka, an outstanding example of late-war German clothing issue in excellent condition.
