M40 Heer/Waffen-SS no decal steel helmet Q66 1944

Typical late war M40 helmet produced by Quist. This was the last helmet factory to produce M40 pattern helmets until very late in to the war before switching to the M42 style helmet. This is a classic no decal example with a late war dated liner band. The exterior is coated in field green paint and shows moderate wear. A removed post-war decal is visible on the right side. The helmet is complete with its liner and draw string. The split pins remain untouched and straight. Maker marked in the rear Q66, lotnumber: T4510. Honest, M40 steel helmet that could be used for a Army or Waffen-SS display.
