Removed from collectors album see back image.The title 'WAAC' refers to a Women's Army Auxiliary Corps member. This was the original title for a U.S. military women's organization formed during World War II, but it transitioned into the Women's Army Corps (WAC) in 1943, which became a part of the regular Army. The change in 1943 granted WAAC members full military status, including equal rank and benefits with male soldiers.
