Japanese WWII Type 30 Bayonet, Early Production Nagoya 66759

Original era manufacture. An early production bayonet featuring a bright finished blade, hooked guard, contoured wood grips and a blue finished steel scabbard. The blade is bright and clean, showing minor scattered discoloration from oil and age, but no damage or pitting from corrosion, really very nice. Of interest is that the guard, blade tang and pommel are finished bright as well. Likely a previous owner dismantled the bayonet, and for some reason removed the blue, at least that is my guess. Even the sides of the lock button are bright steel. This unique finish makes a nice contrast to the dark blue finish of the scabbard.The scabbard is very, very clean with one miniscule dent in the surface.
