You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Seikosha Type 100 Aircraft Clock! Brought back by a US Serviceman, this was used in various fighters, bombers, and destroyer aircraft!Time played an important role in military life during World War Two.Each country had its own variation of night timepieces, which were all similar in design. The Japanese timepieces primarily bore the manufacturer's name of 'SEIKOSHA,' (Seiko), and featured the following characteristics:Primarily manufactured by Seikosha Company Ltd.Pre-1940 βbrass block metal case assembly and exterior components1941β1945 light aluminum block metal case assemblyRotating rim with red, blue, and green arrows for marking timeLarge Arabic numeralsFour-cornered screw hole emplacements for fastening to the aircraft's instrument panelLarge brass winding button (pre-1940)Large light aluminum alloy or Bakelite winding button (1941-45)Made of brass, aluminum, and steel, this Seikosha Aircraft clock is in EXCELLENT used condition!Though it appears to have been re-painted post-war, thedial and hands both glow when UV light is applied! Some slight marks and paint chips due to the age, but overall features minimal wear. The data plate is still attached, and clearly indicates the manufacture and model.100% FUNCTIONAL,I have indicated it's location in the last photo.Like most Japanese instruments, this is a VERY RARE item, and would male a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
