You are bidding on an EXCELLENT and RARE VARIANT of a WW1 German Close Combat Trench Knife! It comes complete with the original scabbard!As bayonets were typically long and heavy, some soldiers ended up privately purchasing various styles of hunting knives. Throughout WW1, numerous manufactures produced these types of knives, available for both private purchase and military issue.Made of bakelite and steel by WKC, this late-war German Combat Fighting Knife is in SUPERB condition considering its age. Some marks, scratches and wear, but nothing that detracts. The blade shows signs of sharpening (normal), but it is still quite solid. One side features the double logo emblem of WKC. The scabbard is original to this knife, and matches the condition of the blade, with some slight paint loss.Would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
