Original German WWII Luftwaffe Steel Belt Buckle By J.C. MaedickeWith Leather Tab Julius Kremp Dated 1942-This buckle is constructed of steel, which is painted Luftwaffe blue and made by J.C. Maedicke and most likely manufactured in 1941.This authentic example shows honest wear and age patina with minor surface rust and paint loss.The leather tab is nicely intact and the leather is still pliable. It is maker marked 'Jul. Kremp. Lüdenscheid' and dated 1942, so it is not the original tab on this belt buckle. Tabs were sewn in to reinforce the buckle's attachment to the belt. This is still in excellent condition and would work well for German WWII belt buckle collectors.
