Original WWII German Cartridge Primer Container for the Gebirgsgeschütz 36This is an Original WWII German cartridge primer container for the Gebirgsgeschütz 36 (3.7 cm Gebirgskanone 15 / Geb. K. 15), which was a mountain gun used by the Gebirgsjäger (mountain troops). These containers were airtight screw-top Bakelite tins designed to carry the ignition charges (propellant primers) for the 7.5 cm Gebirgsgeschütz 36 or its earlier counterpart (Geb. K. 15). They kept the charges dry, secure, and safe from accidental ignition while being transported with the gun crew.The top of the lid is marked 'Kart. Vorl. d. Geb. K. 15' and dated 1943 on the inside. There are tiny scratches throughout but the container still functions and looks really good considering it's age. This rare little gem would work very well for collectors of German WWII mountain troop fieldgear and accessories and is in excellent condition.
