Soviet WWII 2nd Class Order of the Patriotic War Serial 258394, 1944 Award

Original era manufacture. Sterling silver medal with an applied gold hammer & sickle emblem at center, six digit serial number on its reverse 258394. Screw disc on its reverse. WWII decoration which was worn with pride by its owner. No enamel damage to the star. Serial number range indicates in the second half of 1944. For some reason, this medal was renumbered in the past, as a number 16 can be seen to the right of the current serial number.
