A scarce original circa 1900 period 'Channock & Hednesford District Committee Boer War Relief of Ladysmith Surrender of Cronje 1900 commemorative pressed white metal medal with maker's details 'FENWICK B'HAM' in the form of a cross, each arm impressed with a Rose, Maid of Erin, Thistle and Shamrock Spray; the central celluloid disc displaying four oval portraits of General Lord Roberts, Lord Kitchener, General Sir George Stewart White VC and General Buller; the reverse impressed in relief 'IN COMMEMORATION OF THE RELIEF OF LADYSMITH FEB. 28 SURRENDER OF CRONJE. 27. FEB. 1900'. Good condition, complete with original top suspension bar with single pin fitting.Height approx 62mm.
