This Dutch SS brochure 'The Road to Germanic Destiny' was published by Uitgeverij Storm, Amsterdam in 1941 and is in used condition.The publication is entirely dedicated to the training camp Sennheim in Alsace, where Dutch, Danish, and Norwegian volunteers in German service were prepared for their deployment within the Waffen-SS.The brochure has 32 pages and is richly illustrated with photographs showing daily life in the camp: arrivals of volunteers, sports and military exercises, medical care, recreation, group activities, and portraits of SS recruits.In addition, it contains extensive texts promoting National Socialist ideology, interspersed with personal testimonies from Dutch and Scandinavian volunteers.The cover is executed in red and black, with the SS runes in a diamond at the center.Inside, the propaganda strongly emphasizes comradeship, physical training, and the so-called 'Germanic destiny.'The transition to the 'Westland' Standard and 'Wiking' Division units is also described.This brochure was used as recruitment for Dutch volunteers in the Waffen-SS.A fascinating item for any militaria or World War II collection!Article number: 16612Originele WWII Nederlandse SS brochure Germaansche Lotsverbondenheid – Opleidingskamp SennheimDeze Nederlandse SS brochure 'De weg tot Germaansche Lotsverbondenheid' werd uitgegeven door Uitgeverij Storm, Amsterdam in 1941 en is in gebruikte conditie.Deze uitgave is geheel gewijd aan het opleidingskamp Sennheim in de Elzas, waar Nederlandse, Deense en Noorse vrijwilligers in Duitse dienst werden voorbereid op hun inzet binnen de Waffen-SS.De brochure telt 32 pagina's en is uitgebreid geïllustreerd met foto's die het dagelijks leven in het kamp weergeven: aankomsten van vrijwilligers, sport- en militaire oefeningen, medische zorg, ontspanning, groepsactiviteiten en portretten van SS-rekruten.Daarnaast bevat het uitgebreide teksten waarin de nationaalsocialistische ideologie wordt uitgedragen, afgewisseld met persoonlijke getuigenissen van Nederlandse en Scandinavische vrijwilligers.Het omslag is uitgevoerd in rood en zwart, met centraal het SS-runenteken in een ruit.Binnenin is propaganda te vinden die sterk de nadruk legt op kameraadschap, fysieke vorming en de zogenoemde 'Germaanse lotsverbondenheid'.Ook wordt de overgang naar de eenheden Standaard 'Westland' en Divisie 'Wiking' beschreven.Deze brochure diende als wervingsmiddel voor buitenlandse vrijwilligers in de Waffen-SS.
