Description

German WWII Photo Album for Erika Übler-This is a photo album about a young female athlete named Erika Übler. She set a softball throw record for distance in the early 30's. It contains 21 photos, eight of which are small photos of the Olympic event. There are 9 larger photos of Erika, which appears to be the original photos that were later printed in a few magazine or newspapers articles (included). She is quite the gymnast, and discus thrower.I tried to do research on Erika, and I don't think she never made it to the '36 Olympics as a participant, though I'm not sure if she was there as a backup or something. It might be fun to do deeper research on her. The book itself measures 12 inches (30.48cm) long by 9 inches (22.86 cm) wide. This book is covered in beige linen and is bound with a red cord. The cover shows the colorful Olympic rings. This is a fun book.
