EVII A.G.S 1902-1956 With clasps for Somaliland 1902-04 & Jidballi, 1914-15 trioTo- 4136.PTE.J.BLAKE.HAMPS.R (A.G.S)& 19332.PTE.J.BLAKE.DEVON.R (Trio)John Blake was born in Hampshire 1877 & enlisted under age in 1893. He served with the Hampshire regiment in Africa during the campaigns in Somaliland 1902-1904 & Jidballi. He was discharged in 1905 but volunteered for service with the Devon regiment in January 1915. He serves with the 1st Devon Regiment in France & finishes his war serving with the Labour Corps. He survived the war & was discharged at the wars end. He served as an A.R.P Warden during WW2 & died in Lymington 1966 age 88.NEF/GVF with minor eks to the A.G.S. Complete with the recipients original AB64 Army paybook, discharge certificate & other original documents. Along with MIC & medal roll details.
