GVIR Military M.B.E, 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal, 1939-45 War Medal, EIIR 1st type GSM 1918-1962 With Malaya clasp & EIIR 1st type Regular Army LS&GCTo- S-57239.WO.CL.1 / S.S.MJR.R.COLE.R.A.S.CThe recipient was awarded his M.B.E in the London gazette 13-6-1957 for his services with the headquarters of Scottish command for his services with that unit from 1955 to 1957. He has a lengthy citation for the award of the M.B.E that makes many remarks about his skill & ability & in particular his efforts during the Queen & Duke of Edinburgh's visit to Edinburgh. He went on to be commissioned as Lieutenant & QM in 1964.NEF/GVF & Court mounted as worn. Complete with two large photographs of the recipient in uniform. Along with a postcard photograph of a recipient & a comrade in uniform & a number of small snapshot photographs of former Japanese soldiers in captivity & commercial produced images of Japanese war crimes.
