Unissued Original German WWII Heer/Waffen SS Gamaschen (Gaiters)

Unissued Original German WWII Heer/Waffen SS Gamaschen (Gaiters)-Ankle gaiters were worn over boots to tighten trouser cuffs, keeping dirt, mud, and debris out during field service.Introduced as a replacement for long marching boots due to leather shortages.Issued widely to German Army (Heer), Waffen SS and even Luftwaffe soldiers, especially with low boots (Schnürschuhe).These authentic first pattern Gamaschen are unissued with the leather trim on the bottom and the stiffner in the middle. They are not marked. The leather is in excellent condition and supple. They show very minor fading and discoloration but are genuinely well preserved and are in mint to excellent condition.
