Spanish 19th Century Mounted Artillery Sword, Toledo 1884

Original era manufacture. Spanish American War era mounted Artillery sword as issued to the armies of Imperial Spain. Polished steel blade measuring 34 inches in length, with no issues, very, very clean with clear markings and date. Massive steel basket guard, backstrap and pommel with some corrosion pitting at the pommel. Fisk skin wrapped grip, bound with single strand brass wire. Steel scabbard with a dark corrosion finish, interesting in that it has two suspension rings on the scabbard band, one smaller than the other.
