Original 1878-1908 British North Staffordshire Regiment helmet plate

This British helmet plate of the North Staffordshire Regiment dates from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period and was worn on the Home Service Helmet between circa 1878 and 1908.The plate is finely crafted with in the center the silver-colored emblem of the Prince of Wales's feathers, surrounded by the motto band Honi soit qui mal y pense and topped with a detailed King's Crown.The gilt laurel wreath and star-shaped backing plate give the piece an impressive appearance, while the black banners with the regimental name 'The North Staffordshire Regiment' add extra depth and recognition.On the reverse side, the original fixing loops are still present.An interesting and beautiful helmet plate for any British Army collection!Article number: 16698Originele 1878-1908 Britse North Staffordshire Regiment helm plaatDeze Britse helmplaat van het North Staffordshire Regiment stamt uit de laat-Victoriaanse tot vroege Edwardiaanse periode en werd gedragen op de Home Service Helm tussen circa 1878 en 1908.
