Luftwaffe officer visor cap 'Schirmmütze'

This is a fine example of a Luftwaffe officer's visor cap (Schirmmütze), worn by officers from the rank of Leutnant up to Oberst. The cap is made from Luftwaffe grey tricot cloth and features silver piping, a hand-embroidered Luftwaffe eagle, and a silver bullion wreath with national cockade.The exterior of the cap remains in good condition with a nice worn look, while the interior shows heavier use – the sweatband and lining are partially damaged, with the maker label under the celluloid diamond no longer visible.Great size 56 and beautiful saddle shape!
