DAF ( 'Deutsche Arbeitsfront' ) Honor Plaque

produced as an award by the 'Deutsche Arbeitsfront' ('German Labor Front'), or DAF. The plaque depicts a laborer and a farmer flaking a scholar or legislator, over a swastika within a geared wheel, with Adolf Hitler's quote 'Ehret die Arbeit und achtet den Arbeiter' ('Honor the Work and Respect the Worker') at bottom. The designer's name 'Muller -Erfurt' appear at the bottom right of the pedestal upon which the figures stand, while the bottom right corner bears the maker's mark 'Paulmann & Crone - Ludenscheid', with 'Ges.
