Excellent and very well preserved M40 pattern Luftwaffe steel helmet. The Luftwaffe decal on the left is nearly 100% intact, shows crisp details and nice toning! The exterior paint shows almost no damages and has a nice textured surface. The liner shows light wear and the leather is supple and strong. It comes with a full length draw string. The split pins remain straight and unmessed with. The steel liner band is dated 1940 (I deem!). Maker marked on the side by EF, size 66. Lot number in the rear hard to tell looks like 8070 – EF is known for their odd and bad markings. A stunning helmet, hard to upgrade! EF is also a rare maker for LW helmets.
