Unique offer โ seldom seen experimental 'first pattern' M44 Waffen-SS summer field blouse. The tunic is a very rare early varient, not made in the classic pea-dot pattern camouflage, but made with left over HBT reversible material in Oak Leaf B pattern camouflage. This material was used on the late war smocks or 'Tarnjacke' and from these stocks these first M44 jackets were made. The jacket is completely untouched, and shows normal wear. One small hole in the right bottom pocket and some wear around the neck area. The jacket is complete with the original applied RZM-pattern SS eagle on the sleeve. It was sloppy applied (as often observed) missing a part of the eagle unattached to the tunic. Size marked and maker marked by the (un)famous SS clothing factory 'Betr.Ra' (Betrieb Ravensbrรผck or Gesellschaft fรผr Textil- und Lederverwertung ( Texled )) which was a concentration camp were these uniforms were made (only for SS!). Only a handful of these rare jackets exist in collections to day, truely a once-in-a-life-time opportunity! The jacket came directly from the US veterans family and this is the information I got with it:Veteran Carl Langford D-Day +8, He was a quartermaster and also a driver on the 'Red Ball Express' from St.Lo to Belgium. Drafted in 1942 and served until 1946. Ended up in Munich.
