Early produced M35 army steel helmet in good condition. The helmet started as an apple green coated double decal helmet but was overpainted with dark field green camouflage paint due regulations most likely in 1940 before the invasion of Western Europe. Therefore the decals are covered, but still remain visible under the paint. Original but replaced helmet liner. The leather is supple and shows normal wear, matching with the helmet. The chin strap is complete, maker marked and dated 1941. The buckle part of the strap shows a small tear. Shell markings liberated; ET64 – 2813. Priced to sell quick!
