Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) with ribbon. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction and the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten' and shows normal wear and great detail overall having a darkened age-patina. The cross comes with its original 13cms long ribbon as found. The cross is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of 'WΓ€chtler & Lange' in Mittweida. Nice example in good used condition!
