Late war WH (Heer) M43 Tropical Tunic (Tropenfeldbluse M43). In late 1940, with the impending German entrance into the North African campaign, tropical uniforms and equipment were quickly developed and issued in time for DAK personnel's arrival in Tripoli in February 1941. Originally the tropical uniforms were only intended for wear in North Africa but that was later expanded to include personnel serving in southern areas of continental Europe during the summer months. The light weight khaki/olive cotton construction field blouse is complete with a nicely machine-sewn BeVo-woven M44 triangular type breast-eagle and a set of original machine-sewn BeVo-woven generic type collar tabs. The field blouse is nicely size marked (chest size 100cms) and dated 1944. There are multiple award-loops on the left breast for wear of various awards. The field blouse is in worn condition showing normal traces of usage including some small damages and/or staining, see photos. Nice late-war tropical summer field blouse in good used condition!
