A totally untouched WW1 French Adrian helmet with flaming grenade badge for infantry to front.This helmet is most likely a 1915 production having had a darker coat of blue paint handpainted over its first lighter blue colour in accordance with the 1916 order to darken the colour of the paint. Helmet shell is a 'JAPY' manufacture one of several makers of this helmet. Interior has first pattern one piece liner with size markings stamped into the leather. Chinstrap intact.
