RARE ARMY DAGGER BY WMW WAFFEN WITH HANGERS AND KNOT.

This is an extremely nice army officers dagger with the WMW WAFFEN maker stamped into the blade. This is the mark for Max Weyersberg. Deep orange grip which has deepened over the years, as the reverse has a much lighter colour. The whole dagger has a very heavy silver content plating, which is completely intact. So much so thst where the crossguard has covered and protected the top of the scabbard, it's left a much lighter silhouette of the eagle etc outlined on the unexposed surface. Very neat! Max Weyersberg used the 'type 2' dagger crossguard which closely resembles the one used by WKC. It has a perfect original 42cm bullion portapee tied in place and a very nice set of de-luxe dagger hangers, which have been period shortened by the original owner by turning over an inch of each strap and sewing it in place! The blade is in mint condition and has the WMW WAFFEN lettering stamped into the reverse riccasso.A very nice lookin dagger, completely untouched!!
