US WWII Australian Made Fighting Knife & Scabbard

Original era manufacture. Massive WWII knife made in Australia for US troops serving in the Pacific. The brass grip is cast directly onto the blade, with small amounts of brass residue appearing on the ricasso on each side. File marks can also be seen on the inside of the knuckles and guard. Original brown leather sheath which has had a pommel strap added by the original owner, the tip of which is missing. The blade is bright and clean, with period sharpening visible.
