German Imperial Era, Bavarian Cavalry Officers Lionhead Sword, Eickhorn Mfg, Original Knot

Original period manufacture. Very clean plated finish blade measuring 31 inches in length. Etched panels on each side bearing the Bavarian motto 'In Treue Fest'. The blade runs straight and true, with the Eickhorn double squirrel trademark behind the langet. Gilded brass lionheaded pommel and guard with an original silver and blue sword knot in place. Black composition wrapped grip, missing some of the binding wire. Dent free blue steel scabbard with a single suspension ring.
