US Late Model M1878 Canteen, RIA 1916 Dated Cover

Original period manufacture. Indian War era pattern canteen with a near new condition RIA 1916 stenciled canvas cover. No sling, but the brass attaching hooks are present. No holes or tears in the cover, front pushed in a bit during storage.
