GVR 1st type WW1 Military Medal (MM) & 1914-15 TrioTo- 88954.BMBR.R.F.ELSON.B.47/BDE.R.F.A (MM)& 88954.CPL.R.F.ELSON.R.F.A / R.A (Trio)Reginald Frank Elson was born in Barton, Gloucestershire 1896 & enlisted in to the R.F.A 24-8-1914. He first landed in France 21-5-1915 & went on to be awarded the MM for services in France with the B.47th Brigade of the R.F.A in the London gazette 12-12-1917. He was wounded by gun shot to the back 1-1-1918 & went on to be discharged with a silver war badge due to wounds 27-2-1919. He was awarded a disability pension & at this stage was living in Guernsey. He was living in Slough on the 1939 register but died in Thanet, Kent 2-5-82 age 85.GVF or better & complete with MIC, Medal roll, London gazette & other basic research details
