1914-15 Trio, WW2 Defence Medal & EIIR Civil Defence Long service medalTo- 11439.GNR.E.HART.R.F.A / R.A (Trio)& E.HART (Privately engraved Civil Defence medal)Eric Hart was born in Farnham, Surrey 11-1-1889 & enlisted in to the Royal Field Artillery 7-9-1914. He first landed overseas in Egypt 1-7-1915 & was discharged 4-8-1916 due to gun shot wounds to his right arm. He took holy orders in 1926 & spent some time as a minister in Egypt & the Middle East before becoming vicar of St.Lukes in Hull from 1940 to 1953 & retiring to Southampton. He last appears in Crockfords clerical directory in 1976 but actually passed away in Winchester in January of 1972.NEF/GVF With original award document for the Civil Defence long service medal, original WW1 Silver war badge award document, original Civil Defence enrolment card & membership cards dated 1959 & 1961.
