WW1 Victory medalTo- 618.SJT.E.EVANS.N.SOM.YEOErnest Evans from Bath first landed in France 2-11-14 & is entitled to the 1914 star trio. He was mentioned in despatches for services in France during the later stages of 1914 & this was published in the London gazette 17-2-1915. He was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 13-5-1915 & was 41 years of age at the time of his death. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the Menin gate memorial at Ypres.
