You are bidding on an EXCELLENT unused example of aWW2 German Luftwaffe Pneumatic Wendezeiger (Pneumatic Turn and Bank Indicator), Fl. 22402, as used ONLY inGermany's famous Ar96, BΓΌ133, DFS230, Fi-156, Hs126, Ju87, Me110, and Me109 E thru early G aircraft! This instrument measured the turn angle and side-slip of the aircraft, and would have been connected to the main electrics. It was located on the main instrument panel on many early german aircraft, before they switched over to an electrical version.Made of aluminum and steel, this is a VERY NICE item. In new Old Stock condition, the Fl. part number is stamped directly into the face, indicating Fl 22402. It retains 99% of its original black crackle paint, and there are no dents or damage! Also features some inspection stamps on the back, indicating a production date of September 1942. The US Serviceman who brought it back incorrect wrote, 'German Warplane Altimeter' on the label (this could easily be removed). I have indicated its location in Fi156, Ju87, and Me109 in the last photos. A PERFECT addition to any collection, display or restoration project!
