This First World War produced helmet was later reissued in the 1930s, fitted with an early M31 aluminum liner and chinstrap for Reichswehr/Wehrmacht use.The helmet retains its original dark field finish with honest service wear. The liner shows natural age and patina, with the leather still intact.The shell is marked with maker and size 'ET64'. 'ET' is indicating production by the company of 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' from Thale/Harz.A fine example of a WWI model reissued in the early Third Reich period
