This is a nice original Luftwaffe 'Flakartillerie' (Anti-Aircraft Artillery) EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is an official Luftwaffe issue cap, the sweatdiamond is missing, the cap is nicely maker marked by the company of 'G.A. Hoffmann' from Berlin and dated 1937. The cap is size '56' marked. The leather sweatband is in good supple condition, see photos, the cap is unit marked on the inside of the sweatband for the '12 Battr. III./Flak 12' (Flak-Regiment 12). The cap is having the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for personnel serving within the Flakartillerie. The simulated leather chinstrap is in good condition. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cocarde and cap-eagle. The cap is in overall good condition with normal traces of usage and some minor (moth)damages. Nice original Luftwaffe Flak visor cap in good used condition!
