12th Prince of Wales' Royal Lancers Officer's No 1 Dress Cap Badge, QEII Crown

A stunning gilt and silver plated example of two part riveted construction with two original long loops to reverse. As worn by the Officers, RSM and the Bandmaster in the Service Dress Cap and in the Forage Cap without any backing cloth. Circa 44mm tall. In mint condition.The Queen Elizabeth pattern appeared in circa 1958. It was amalgamated with the 9th Lancers in 1960 so a very short lived issue. Langridge confirms in his 1960 publication that many officers of the Regiment continued to wear their King's Crown pattern.Comm JoPa
