This is an attractive - and totally untouched! - example of a: HJ (ie. Hitlerjugend), typical beige- (ie. tan-) coloured, so-called: 'M34'-pattern side-cap (ie. 'Schiffchen o. Sommermütze nach Vorschrift der RJF') that comes in a just moderately worn- (albeit nicely preserved-), condition. The side-cap - which is of the typical 'lined'-pattern and that shows the bright-red-coloured- (and/or rayon-based) piping attached as to be expected - was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was truly never in collectors'-hands. It shows a (fully preserved) chocolate-brown-coloured- and/or genuine leather-based 'sweat-band' but is totally void of a sewn-in 'RzM'-label (I deem it never had one). The cap - that only shows moderate age, wear and minimal staining - retains its period-attached (neatly enamelled!) cap 'Raute' and (early-pattern!) 'BeVo'-woven-pattern, HJ-type side-cap-eagle: moreover, is it fairly large-sized and shows a tiny inked size-stamp that reads: '58' (as can be seen on the pictures). The cap is as stated above void of a sewn-in 'RzM'-label (I deem it never had one). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact this specimen shows the bearers'-initials ('G.D.') written on the inside of the 'sweat-band' (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and fully untouched! - 'Schiffchen o. Sommermütze nach Vorschrift der RJF' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
