Original US WWII M1943 Field Jacket Pattern 370D 1944-1945The M1943 Field Jacket was the main component of the the US Army's improved combat uniform issued in the latter part of WWII. This jacket, with only minor design changes, was issued to American troops for the next 50 years, and is still manufactured today for the civilian market. We believe this jacket is the 370D pattern due to the fact that there are small threads indicating a large white tag was formerly attached near the neck area (Refer to photo #15 for reference). The production dates for this pattern was Feb 1944 - Feb 1945. The chest measures approximately 46'. There are some stains throughout due to poor storage and normal wear and tear. The shoulder epaulettes and collar flap have been removed, but you can still see traces of thread and of someone closing the seam with new thread. The waist drawstring is missing. Most all of the dark brown buttons remain intact.
