Original US WWI Summer Riding Breeches (28W x 25L)These authentic summer riding breeches remain in excellent condition. There are a couple of faint stains on the backside, but they are hardly noticeable. The included laces have been shortened, and it is unclear whether they are original to the breeches. Inside, under a pocket flap, is a series of stamped numbers: '6057 3554 3227,' the actual meaning of which is unknown; could be some sort of pattern, batch, or unit numbers. No actual size tag was found, but the waist measures approximately 28' and the inseam 25'. The metal sewn on buttons are all marked 'U.S. Army' and are all there. The maker tag states these were made by Sigmund Eisner Co., Red Bank, N.J., a well known uniform manufacturer. Aside from the minor stains, these breeches have been exceptionally well preserved and in excellent condition.
